The Problem
Coles set targets to reduce the use of unethical ingredients and improve packaging recyclability, including a target to cut non-recycled materials. To support these goals, Coles required a solution to track supplier label certificate compliance and ensure packaging standards were met across all locations.

The Supplier Portal further streamlined operations by automating certificate capture, parsing, and validation, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory alignment across the supply chain.
The Outcome
The implementation of Addis delivered measurable outcomes for Coles, including real-time ingredient volume reporting such as Palm Oil across SKUs and suppliers. Automated supplier self-service workflows enabled suppliers to upload certificates and complete data validation reviews, supported by automatic alerts for renewals, missing data, and validation errors.
This streamlined approach led to a significant reduction in non-compliance, achieving 99.9% certification validity. Reporting timelines were dramatically shortened, cutting delivery time from four weeks to just days, while data accuracy improved by 98%, ensuring reliable insights for sustainability and regulatory reporting.
